Since retirement from teaching in 2002, I have written books for children and poetry, all of which I have illustrated myself:
The Glissen Series introduces the magical world of the Ice Witch Glissen and her friends. These are imaginative tales for children ages 8 to 12 as they discover the Ice Witch’s Castle on the top of Ice Mountain ; explore the depths of faraway Guthswuppia and meet dragons, water fairies and wizards. These books include great tried and tested creative ideas for crafts and writing.
Tales of Glissen A fairy story about how the gloomy Ice Witch gradually finds friends and happiness. |
Widzer’s Visit Tells the tale of Widzer the wizard who, with his best friend Esmeralda the Gorilla, travel to Guthswuppia to visit Widzer’s family home only to find that it has disappeared. |
Flidzerina Tells how Widzer’s magical sister decides to seek her fortune in the real world. At the end of the book, Flidzerina has to decide whether to stay in the real world or return to the enchanted Guthswuppian Mountains. |
